College Tournaments Hawaii LLC., after running three successful years of collegiate basketball play in Hawaii, is proud to present the inaugural Hoops in Hawaii Division II Power Invitational, presented by Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra. Hawai'i Pacific University will serve as the sponsoring school.

For the first time, we will be doing an eight-team traditional bracket format and crown a true champion. The field is stacked with top 25 caliber teams and there is nothing else like this across the nation for NCAA DII Men's Basketball. All eyes will be on this prestigious tourney as regional and national recognition and rankings will be on the line, as well as the honor of becoming the inaugural champion of this event.

Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra is the title sponsor for 2018 and all of our team's travel parties will be staying there. It's right across from the Hawaii Convention Center (game location), a half a block, barely a five minute walk! It's also next door to Hawaii's biggest shopping mall (Ala Moana Shopping Center) and a five minute walk to the beach (Ala Moana Beachpark).

When: December 16-18, 2018

Where: Hawaii Convention Center 1801 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815   » More info

Format: Eight team bracket format, guaranteed three games each.

The inaugural Hoops in Hawaii Classic was held in 2015 with Hawaii Pacific University (NCAA DII), Western Washington University (NCAA DII), Freed-Hardeman University (NAIA), CSU-San Marcos (NCAA DII) and Grace Bible College (NCCAA) having participated and setting the initial foundation.

The 2016 Classics took it a step further with a four team Men's Thanksgiving Classic (Carleton College, #19 Hawaii Pacific, Brigham Young University Hawaii, and West Coast Baptist College) and the 6 team DIII Women's Holiday Classic (#16 Whitman College, North Central College, Wisconsin Lutheran College, Chapman University, Redlands University and Occidental College).

2017 became a banner year for the Hoops in Hawaii Classics. We had 16 Men's teams between the two Classics (Thanksgiving and Holiday Classic) and moved the Holiday Classic to an amazing facility (Hawaii Convention Center) and was the first NCAA event to ever play in the Hawaii Convention Center.
