AIEA - Jarin Morikawa led the Mililani offense with 382 passing yards and 3 touchdowns and the Trojans' defense did the rest in a 35-10 win over the Aiea Na Ali'i.

Morikawa got the scoring for the Trojans going early on as Erren Jean-Pierre hauled in a 37-yard touchdown pass with 10:15 in the first quarter.

Later in the quarter, running back Dayton Furuta capped a Mililani drive starting from their 35-yard line with a 2-yard touchdown with 2:32 left.

Aiea got a good drive going in the second, mixing it with some pass and run plays that led them to the Mililani 6 yard line. However, Mililani's defense would hold and Aiea settled for a 29 yard Jae Won Huh field goal.

Aiea took over after a missed Miliani field goal attempt, but two plays later Mana Ka'ahanui was intercepted by Mililani's Mike Atuaia in Aiea territory.

An interception by Aiea's Kamakana Apelu almost stole the momentum back but it was nullified by a roughing the passer penalty. Morikawa finished the drive by floating a 10-yard pass to Dakota Turner with 3:27 remaining in the second quarter.

To start the third quarter, Aiea put together a good drive going all the way down to the Mililani 31 yard line, but Ka'ahanui was intercepted by Beau Winchester.

Mililani took advantage of the turnover and marched down to the Aiea 12 yard line. Morikawa found Jean-Pierre in the end zone, but an offensive passing interference penalty would take away the touchdown. Rather than go for it at the Aiea 35 yard line, Mililani decided to punt. Morikawa could not handle the snap and Aiea was able to recover it, taking over on Mililani's 12-yard line.

Once again, Aiea could not take advantage of great field position, as a holding penalty and a sack pushed them backwards. A few plays later, Ka'ahanui passed it to Samate Talia, but Talia fumbled the ball and Mililani's Ian Namu scooped it up and returned it for a 70-yard touchdown with 3:15 left in the third quarter.

In the latter stages of the game, the Trojans would turn to their ground attack, led by Kamali'i Olayan-Keawe, and Morikawa would cap off the drive by finding Bronson Ramos in the end zone for 10 yards, putting Mililani up for good.

Aiea's final drive of the night culminated in Shaenan Hernandez-Fonoti catching a 17-yard touchdown pass from Ka'ahanui and Huh made the PAT with 1:27 left in the contest.
