Five from Hawaii named to PrepVolleyball.com's Top 250


Five Hawai'i high school players were named to PrepVolleyball.com's top 250 Senior Aces, according to its Web site.

Punahou setter Tayler Higgins and Kaiser outside hitter Nikki Taylor are ranked No. 19 and No. 26, respectively, are the only Hawai'i players ranked in the top 100.

'Iolani's Loxley Keala, Punahou's Carly Kan and Saint Francis' Tyler-Marie Mau are ranked between 101 and 250. The Web site did not distinguish exact rankings for the latter 150 players.

Higgins and Taylor have verbally commited to Hawai'i, while Keal and Kan have committed to Missouri. Mau has verbally committed to Minnesota.

Arizona East Valley High School player Penina Snuka, ranked 34th, lists Kahuku as her place of birth.
