Le Jardin's McWhinnie to play for St. Mary's University (MN)


Recent Le Jardin Academy graduate Sean McWhinnie has committed to play basketball for St. Mary's University of Minnesota. McWhinnie led the state in scoring in the 2011-12 regular season with 20.3 points per game and was third in scoring as a junior during the 2010-11 season (18.8 ppg).

The 6-foot-2 guard was recruited as a shooting guard and hopes to get playing time as a freshman.

This summer, Sean will be playing his second year in the College Summer League at Manoa Recreation Center with the Grantco Pacific team coached by Gilbert Hicks and player/coach Geremy Robinson.
