Kamehameha reached the semifinals of the DataHouse Division I State Softball Championships in a game that was closely contested early, but turned into a offensive display late. as the Warriors plate 16 runs in the final four innings to top Lahainaluna going away, 17-5.

Jessica Wallace gave Lahainaluna an early advantage in the first inning with one crack of the bat, blasting a shot over the wall in left field for a three-run home run.

But Kamehameha would catch fire offensively from the fourth inning onward, scoring 3 runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, to take a 9-5 lead, then would plate another seven runs in the top of the seventh to put the game well out of reach.

Maelia Zablan was 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI, Brandi-Lei Smith added a 4-for-5 day at the dish with a double and 2 RBI, and Christine Hipa went 3-for-5 with 3 doubles and 3 RBIs to lead the Warriors offensively.
