Moanalua takes down Kaiser in four sets to advance


 





East top-seed Moanalua dispatched Kaiser in four sets, 25-16, 25-12, 23-25, 25-22, in second round action of the OIA Boys Volleyball playoffs at Na Menehune gymnasium.

Josh Buted slammed down 17 kills and Trevor Tsugawa added 10 more as Na Menehune advance to take on Waipahu, a 25-19, 25-18, 25-21 winner over Mililani, in Thursday's winners bracket semifinals.

At Leilehua, the West top-seed Mules took care of Castle in straight sets, 25-20, 25-19, 25-22, and Kalaheo also swept, getting by Pearl City, 26-24, 29-27, 25-20.

In OIA White playoff matches, Kahuku needed four sets to get past Nanakuli, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 25-20, and Kailua advanced over Radford, 25-22, 25-18, 24-26, 25-16.
