Mililani captures 12th consecutive JV soccer title


Mililani beat Pearl City, 1-0, to capture its 12th consecutive Oahu Interscholastic Association Red junior varsity girls' soccer championship Saturday night at Hugh Yoshida Stadium at Leilehua.

Taylor Cadiz scored the only goal of the game for the Trojans (9-1) against previously unbeaten Pearl City (9-1).

The Trojans have won every JV title since the OIA started JV soccer in 2001.

In the JV White championship, Leilehua beat Kalaheo, 2-1.

Kristin Morante and Melanie Kamisugi scored for the Mules (5-5), while Taylor Catobus tallied for the Mustangs (4-5-1).
