Bryson Dymond and the Surfrider offense backed the pitching of Jake Cobb-Adams in a six-inning 11-1 defeat of Roosevelt in an opening round game of the HHSAA State Baseball Championships.

Dymond went 3-for-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored to lead Kailua offensively, and Jake Cobbs-Adams went the distance to earn the victory, scattering 3 hits over 6 innings, allowing just one run and with three strikeouts and four walks.

Kailua faces top-seeded Saint Louis at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow at Murakami Stadium.
