Kamehameha-Maui, Mililani, Punahou and Kamehameha each advanced to tonight's New City Nissan/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Division I Girls Championship semifinals after quarterfinal victories last night.

No. 1 seed Punahou improved to 13-0 in regular and postseason play and will face No. 4 seed Kamehameha-Maui (15-1) at 5 p.m. today at McKinley, followed by No. 2 seed Mililani (15-1) vs. six-time defending champ Kamehameha (11-3) at 7.

Here is a capsule look at last night's matches:

QUARTERFINALS

Kamehameha-Maui def. Kahuku, 25-22, 17-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-8

Sienna Davis had a match-high 17 kills to go along with two blocks and an ace, and Anuhea Kaiaokamalie added 11 kills for the Warriors.

After jumping out to an 11-3 lead in the first set, Kamehameha-Maui watched the Red Raiders (16-5) claw back and close it to 16-14 but then the Warriors responded with a 5-1 run to regain some separation.

Kamehameha-Maui took a 7-4 lead in Game 2, only to see Kahuku go on a 5-1 spurt to take the lead at 9-8 and then use a 6-1 run sparked by Tatiana Brown's two kills and a block to make it 16-11.

Adora Anae then had two kills and a block to highlight a 7-2 run that pushed the lead to 23-13 and later spiked another kill to even the match at one set apiece.

In Game 3, Brown notched three straight kills in a 6-1 run that put the Red Raiders ahead, 19-13, and helped them eventually take a 2-1 match advantage.

But the Warriors tied things up again in the fourth set by taking leads of 13-7, 16-9 and 21-13 and holding off a late Kahuku rally that closed it to 23-20.

In Game 5, Kamehameha-Maui jumped out to a 5-1 lead and the Red Raiders could not close the gap.

Sheylin Patao added eight kills and Leimana Kane finished with four kills, two blocks and one ace for the Warriors.

Anae led Kahuku with 14 kills, Brown added 13 kills, one block and one ace and Sinamoni Tonga contributed 13 kills and one block.

The Red Raiders will face Moanalua (14-3) at 5 p.m. today at Farrington in a consolation bracket elimination match.

Punahou def. Moanalua, 25-21, 25-18, 25-19

Carly Kan had nine kills, three blocks and one ace and Tai Manu-Olevao added six kills and one ace to lead the Buffanblu.

Na Menehune led the first set 5-2 but Punahou quickly responded and tied it at 8-8. Things stayed tight and though the Buffanblu took the lead for good at 16-15 on a double block by Taylor Higgins and Claire Feeney, Moanalua was still in striking distance at 21-20 after Erin Perez's kill.

Brittney Markwith then had a kill and a block to push the lead to 24-20 and Taylor Dayton ended it with a kill.

Game 2 started out tight as well before Markwith and Kan each had a kill and block to highlight a 7-1 run that made it 17-11, and Na Menehune could not close the gap.

Na Menehune jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the third set but Punahou again responded to tie it at 8-8, and the run continued until the Buffanblu led 13-9. Moanalua later closed it to 15-13, but another kill by Markwith pushed the lead to 18-14 and Na Menehune could not get within four points the rest of the way. 

Markwith finished with four kills and three blocks, Feeney and Dayton each added four kills and two blocks and Remo Gaogao contributed three kills for Punahou.  

Perez had a match-high 12 kills and added one block, Daisge Smith finished with six kills and one block and Lia Gaogao contributed five kills and one block.

Mililani def. Baldwin, 28-26, 28-26, 25-15

Jordyn Keamo slammed 20 kills and Kaila Kikugawa added 11 kills to lead the Trojans.

Olivia Wallace had 11 kills and Kalei Vaivai added 10 kills for the Bears, who fell to 12-5 and will face Kamehameha-Hawai'i (13-4) in tonight's 7 o'clock consolation bracket elimination match at Farrington.

Kamehameha def. Kamehameha-Hawai'i, 25-15, 25-13, 25-13

Brittany Kalepa and Haley Pa'akaula each had seven kills to lead the Warriors.

CONSOLATION BRACKET

Kaiser def. Hilo, 25-13, 25-18, 25-21

Haley Durham had 14 kills and five blocks and Annika Rigterink added nine kills to lead the Cougars, who improved to 13-4 and will face OIA Eastern Division rival Castle (12-6) at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the consolation final at Blaisdell Arena.

Angel Alameda led the Vikings with nine kills and Amanda Loffler added five kills.

Castle def. Pearl City, 26-24, 23-25, 18-16

The Knights eliminated the OIA rival Chargers (8-8) in straight sets.
