Kololia Atoa-Williams had 18 kills and two blocks and Angel Savea added 11 kills and two aces last night to help Saint Francis rally past Moloka'i, 25-27, 25-16, 25-15, 25-11, in the first round of the New City Nissan/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Division II Girls Volleyball State Championships.

The Saints, who finished third in Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II, improved to 10-2 in regular and postseason play and advanced to face No. 2 seed and O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Conference champ Roosevelt (11-6) in tonight's 7 o'clock feature quarterfinal at Kaimuki.

Moloka'i, the defending DII state champ, fell to 8-6 and into today's 3:30 p.m. consolation bracket match against Ka'u (13-5). The Trojans lost to Sacred Hearts, 25-15, 25-23, 27-25.

Kalei Mau added eight kills, three blocks and an ace for Saint Francis, who also got seven kills, one block and two aces from Harlee Meyers and four kills, two blocks and one ace each from Lexis Satele and Jedidah Hanakahi.

Leenell Hernandez had 10 kills, one block and one ace for the Farmers, who also got nine kills and one ace from Natalia Levi and six kills, two blocks and an ace from Taylor Keli'iho'omalu.

Konawaena def. Radford, 25-16, 25-27, 27-25, 21-25, 16-14

Jasmine Ward had a match-high 25 kills and Matelita Taumoefolau added 13 kills, five blocks and four aces to help the Big Island Interscholastic Federation DII champion Wildcats win a thriller at Kalani.

Konawaena (17-1) will face No. 1 seed and ILH DII champ Hawai'i Baptist (12-1) in tonight's 7 o'clock feature quarterfinal at Kalani.

Dawnyelle Awa added 12 kills and Courtney Kaupu contributed 10 kills and two blocks for the Wildcats. Imani Wimbush led Radford (6-9) with 14 kills, Maggie Malepeai finished with 12 kills and seven blocks and Samantha Mason added 11 kills and eight blocks.

Leilehua def. Kaua'i, 27-25, 25-27, 25-11, 25-13

Ashlee Vaoifi had 12 kills and three aces, Kaula Kilaulani added nine kills and three aces and Alea Hamm finished with nine kills and four blocks to help the Mules (8-7) hold off the Red Raiders (11-3).

Leilehua, the OIA White Conference runner-up, will face No. 4 seed and Maui Interscholastic League DII champion Seabury Hall (12-0) in today's 5 p.m. quarterfinal at Kalani.

Kaula Kilaulani finished with nine kills and three aces and Mariessa Carrasco added seven kills and five blocks for the Mules. Shyanene Sadora led Kauai with six kills and added one block and one ace, Reeana Javinar and Jordyn Zeffiro each had five kills and Leiana Alejandro contributed four kills and three aces.

Sacred Hearts def. Ka'u, 25-15, 25-23, 27-25

The ILH DII runner-up Lancers improved to 11-4 and will face No. 4 seed and MIL DII champion Seabury Hall (12-0) in today's 5 p.m. quarterfinal at Kalani.
