Pac-Five, Kapolei win Mililani Invitational titles

The Pac-Five boys and Kapolei girls staked their claim among the best by winning the team titles at Saturday's preseason Mililani Judo Invitational.

The Wolf Pack rallied from the consolation bracket -- as did the Hurricanes -- to come back and force a winner-take-all final. Pac-Five topped Moanalua, 47-35, in the boys' title match and Kapolei edged Kamehameha, 70-50, after winning a best-of-three tiebreaker following a 50-50 tie.

Pac-Five's David Terao (132 pounds) and Kapolei's Sydney Cofran (115) were selected by tournament coaches as the most outstanding judoka.
