Mililani, Moanalua to play for OIA Red title


Moanalua edged Kapolei, 1-0, beating Na Menehune, 3-1, in penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation and two overtimes, Thursday in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red girls' soccer semifinals Thursday night at Roosevelt.

Meanwhile, Mililani beat Kaiser, 5-0, in the other semifinal.

Na Menehune and the Trojans will meet 7 p.m. Saturday for the OIA Red title, while Kalaheo will play Leilehua for the White crown at 5:30 p.m.

In consolation bracket games Thursday at Kailua, Pearl City beat Kalani, 2-0, and Kahuku beat Roosevelt, 5-0. Pearl City will meet Kahuku, 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Kailua for fifth place.

Kaiser will play Kapolei, 7 p.m. Saturday at Kailua for third place.

The Trojans, Na Menehune, Cougars, Hurricanes, Chargers and Red Raiders have all clinched Division I state tournament berths.

Saturday's OIA White and Red championships will be televised live on OC 16.
