Quintin Love scored the game's only goal in the eighth minute with a header off a cross by Mountan Mitchell on Saturday to help Punahou defeat 'Iolani in Interscholastic League of Honolulu boys soccer.

The Buffanblu improved to 5-1-1 in ILH play, maintaining their lead atop the league standings with 16 championship points. Kamehameha. which blanked Pac-Five, 5-0, on Saturday is in second place at 4-1-2 (14 points) and Saint Louis, which defeated Mid-Pacific, 3-0, is in third at 4-2-1 (13 points).

'Iolani fell to 2-2-3 (9 points).

Punahou beat the Raiders, 3-0, three weeks ago in the first round and got started quickly again Saturday when Mitchell took the ball down the right side and sent a perfect cross to Love, who headed it into the lower right corner of the net from about 10 yards out.

"We made one mistake, and Punahou is such a good team, they're going to take advantage of that," Raiders coach Chris Lee said.

'Iolani had four shots on goal in the first half, but Buffanblu goalkeeper Charlie Yamamoto made four saves to preserve the shutout.

The Raiders' best opportunity in the second half came in the 64th minute, when a shot by Patrick Shimoko from the right flank ricocheted off the near post and out of bounds.
