Steve Missi scored a game-high 18 points and Montverde (Fla.) broke open a close game in the second half last night to knock off Mount Vernon (N.Y.), 64-37, in the 'Iolani Prep Classic semifinals.

The Eagles, ranked No. 25 in the nation by USA Today, will face No. 1 Oak Hill (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) i tonight's 8 o'clock championship game. Mount Vernon, ranked No. 14, will meet No. 45 (by ESPN Rise) Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.) for third place at 6:30.

The Knights actually led last night's game, 28-26, at halftime. But their shooting went cold in the third period and Montverde converted several turnovers into fast-break layups to outscore Mount Vernon, 20-3, in the quarter and take a 46-31 lead into the fourth.

The Eagles pulled away even more in the final period, outscoring the Knights, 18-6.

Patricio Garino hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for Montverde, which also got 11 points from DeForest Carter.

Jabarie Hinds, a senior guard who will play for the University of West Virginia next season, led Mount Vernon with 13 points.
