Zoe Young and the Roosevelt Rough Riders outlasted Hawaii Prep in a closely contested match, 35-33, 25-23, to claim 5th place in the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball Division II State Championships.

Young put down a match-high 13 kills to lead Roosevelt, who also got 12 kills from Lehuanani Oleole. Kamalei Pitoy added 3 blocks and 17 digs.

Keilyn Ryusaki had 22 digs, and Mackenzie Buckner and Leeta Grap each put down 6 kills for Hawaii Prep.
