Kalani HS seeks varsity softball head coach


Kalani High School seeks a Varsity Softball Head Coach to lead and grow our softball program. We are looking for a committed and passionate leader who can mentor student-athletes on and off the field, promote academic and athletic excellence, and foster a positive team culture built on sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of softball fundamentals, strategy, and athlete development.
  • Ability to design and implement effective practice sessions and competition plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to academic achievement and character development of student-athletes.
  • Familiarity with Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) and Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) regulations
  • Before working with athletes, pass a background check and complete all required coaching certifications.
  • Position does not include a teaching line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead practices, conditioning sessions, and game preparation.
  • Develop individual and team skills while emphasizing teamwork and discipline.
  • Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
  • Collaborate with the school administration and athletic department.
  • Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and behavioral standards.
  • Uphold and promote a culture of integrity, commitment, and sportsmanship.
