Hawaii Baptist got 19 points from Hallie Chock and 10 more from Lauren Okuda in a 42-35 win on the opening day of the Black and Gold Classic held at McKinley's Student Council Gymnasium.

The Eagles broke away in the second quarter, outscoring Springbank 15-6 to lead 24-15 at hafltime.

Rebecca Ulmer led the Phoenix with 13 points in the loss.

In other games in the opening day, Kalani raced past Kapolei, 62-17, while Leilehua downed Mid-Pacific, 53-30.
