Moanalua rallied from an early touchdown deficit to a 27-13 win over visiting Waianae in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I football game Saturday night.
Quarterback AJ Withy-Allen threw two touchdowns off the bench to help Na Menehune (4-5 overall, 3-3 league) knock off the 10th-ranked Seariders (7-2, 4-2).
Withy-Allen connected on scoring strikes of 28 and 27 yards to Laakea Tapaoan and Kamuela Farias, respectively, and Tyler Gines-Hufana threw another touchdown pass and ran in a score for Moanalua.
Waianae opened the scoring with an 8-yard TD pass from JJ Kaio to Keonakoa Malaia with 4:02 left in the first quarter, but saw Na Menehune score 20 straight points before Kaio accounted for his team's only other points with a 1-yard quarterback sneak into the end zone on the final play of the third quarter.
Javian Mizuno was on the receiving end of a 7-yard TD pass from Gines-Hufana with 7:40 to play to close out the scoring.
Moanalua bounced back from a 38-0 loss at Kailua last Saturday, while Waianae was dealt its second loss in three games.
The Seariders will close out the regular season at Kaiser Friday, while Moanalua will visit Radford that same evening.
