Seventh ranked Kapolei pounded out 10 runs on 13 hits in support of Nalani Jaramillo, who earned a complete game decision in a 10-1 win over fifth ranked Leilehua.

Five Hurricanes players collected two hits in the contest, led by Kani Malama-Ahlo, who finished 2 for 3 with a home run and two runs scored.Hayden Imai was 2 for 5 with a triple and a pair of runs scored and Kamahao Seminavage was 2 for 4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. Jaydacie Queypo-Alvarado (2 for 3, double, 2 RBI) and Skyla Saito (2 for 3, double, 2 runs, 2 RBI) also made solid contributions at the plate.

That offensive output was more than enough for starter Nalani Jaramillo, who went the distance in the contest, her longest outing of the year. She allowed just one unearned run on three hits, walked four and struck out eight to earn the victory.

Leilehua saw its record even out at 4-4, dropping its second staight game.

Kapolei sits momentarily in the third spot in the OIA Dvision I West standings, but will close out the year with league leaders Mililani at home on Feb 17 and at Campbell on Feb 19 after finishing up this week with a home game against Nanakuli on Feb 12.

The Mules wil look to get into the win column next week playing its final home game against Waianae on Feb 17 before finishing up its regular season slate with a TV game against Mililani at McKinley on Feb 19.
