The Cowgirls are galloping into the Division II semis.

Kohala trailed early, but found its groove in the second quarter to establish a 29-18 margin by halftime, then pulled away from Lani for a 53-34 win.

Kalia Marquez scored 15 points and Chawai Dunhour added 13 to pace the Cowgirls, who shot 46.9% for the contest.

Lanai's Destinee Dupree had a game-high 17 points in the loss.

In the other quarterfinal at Kalani High School, top-seeded Hanalani had little trouble taking down Kamehameha-Hawaii, posting a 63-19 win.

The Royals led 26-5 after the first and held the Warriors scoreless in the second to make it a 33-5 advantage at the intermission.

Hanalani's Ellana Klemp had 26 points to lead all scorers, hitting 3 of 5 three and 5 of 6 free throws to go along with six rebounds, and four steals.

Kamehameha-Hawaii was held to 18.6% shooting from the field and hit just 3 of 17 three point attempts. Kacie Febo-Santiago had nine points to pace the Warriors in defeat.
