Maryknoll overcame a slow start to pull away from Altamonte Christian (Fl.) in a 51-43 win on the second day of play of the Moanalua Basketball Invitational.
The Spartans trailed 10-2 after the first quarter, but outscored the visting Eagles in each of the final three quarters including a 23-14 advantage in the fourth.
Forward Rome Lilio scored 17 points in the win, including 10 in the fourth quarter and 15 of his game total in the second half, while Keanu Lee and Nixis Yamamoto each chipped in 11, with Lee hitting three triples.
Jacoby Osbourne led the team from Altamonte Springs, Florida with 16 points and a trio of three pointers, with Josiah Glaude adding 12.
Both teams only played seven players in the game.
In earlier action, Mid-Pacific exploded for 34 points in the second quarter and held Soledad (Ca.) to just eight second half points in a 73-32 victory.
Riley Miura hit four of Owls' eight threes in the game, while Ryan Man had 12 points and Darius Chizer 10.
Nine of ten Mid Pacific players scored at least three points in the game.
The Warriors were led by Pablo Morales, who knocked down three triples en route to 10 points in the contest.
