The set scores were 25-19, 25-10, 25-10.
Kalani kept things close in the first set, where it tied things up at 19-all, but the Hurricanes went on a 6-0 spurt to close it out, capped by a kill by Scott.
Set two and three saw the home team firmly in control, enjoying a 23-9 advantage in the second thanks to 10-0 run at the midway point, and 16-4 in the final set, one that the Falcons never found their footing.
Tehani Faasuamanu led the team with 17 assists and added five kills.
In the first match of the evening, Kahuku took care of tenth ranked Mililani in three sets, 25-20, 25-18, 25-17, securing its berth to states.
The Red Raiders were led by Lamona Lauhingoa who recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs, and Kingston Auvaa added six kills and four blocks.
Despite losing in the quarters, the Trojans or the Falcons can still qualify for the state tournament with a win in the fifth place semifinals to be played at Farrington on Mon, Oct 21.
