Campbell posted a four set victory over Waialua to finish the regular season with a 9-1 record. Set scores were 25-19, 25-27, 25-14, 25-14.
The win for the Sabers created a three-way tie atop the OIA Western Division standings, as both Kapolei and Mililani also finished league play with just one loss as well. Campbell lost to Kapolei on Sept. 17 in four sets, Mililani suffered its defeat to the Sabers in five sets and Kapolei's lone loss was to the Trojans in five as well.
By virtue of tie-breaking procedures the Sabers finished as the second seed in the West, with Kapolei taking the top spot and Mililani third.
The procedure stipulated that if teams are still tied after head-to-head results, set percentages will be used to break first tie, which went to Kapolei, having won 5 sets out 9 played (55%).
Second seed out of the West was then determined by head-to-head, which went to the Sabers due to the win over the Trojans.
Waialua will be the fifth seed out of the division. The other two Division I schools in the playoffs out of the West are Nanakuli (W4) and Leilehua (W6).
Division I seeding for the East is as follows: Moanalua (E1), Kahuku (E2), Kalaheo (E3), Kalani (E4), Roosevelt (E5) and Kaiser (E6).
