Leilehua got the bounce-back win that it needed Saturday night.

The Mules built a 21-0 lead by halftime on their way to a 33-8 rout of visiting Aiea in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I football game at Hugh Yoshida Stadium Saturday night.

Leilehua rebounded from a 33-30 loss to Kailua a week ago to even their league record to 1-1 (2-3 overall).

Aiea played without starting quarterback Elijah Mendoza and fell to 1-1 in league play (3-1 overall).

Leilehua will visit Nanakuli Friday, while Aiea will meet Waianae next Saturday at Radford's John E. Velasco Stadium.
