Mountain Vista built an early lead and never looked back in an 83-6 win over Pearl City.

The Golden Eagles, visiting from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, scored four times via the pass, once on the ground and added a 52 yard interception return for another score, all in the first quarter, enjoying a 42-6 advantage.

Austyn Modrzewski threw seven TD passes, completing 16 of 21 passes for 338 yards in the contest and Marquise Reese was a perfect 4 for 4 for 73 yards a TD in relief. Ten different Golden Eagles' players caught a pass, led by Sean Conway, who had four receptions for 89 yards and three scores.

Jack Blais led the team's rushing attack with 82 yards on 6 carries and a six yard TD run, he also added three receptions for 53 yards and two more scores for good measure.

Pearl City's lone score came in the latter stages of the game's opening quarter, when Ikaika Torres found Javian Mizuno for a 73 yard pitch and catch. To date this season, all three of the Chargers' passing scores have been from 50+ yards out, the others a 53 yarder hauled in by Mizuno and a 70 yard reception by Keaton Tomas.

The regular season begins for Pearl City on Sept 6, a game at home against Waianae.
