Mission Viejo took care of business, posting at least one touchdown in every quarter of play to down Kamehameha, 41-7.
The Diablos, ranked 28th in the latest MaxPreps rankings, got a pair of receiving scores from Vance Spafford, as well as TD receptions from Phillip Bell and Luke Karby.
Hinesward Lilomaiava scored the game's opening TD via a three yard run in the first and Drai Trudeau found from Spafford for a five yard passing score in the second for Mission Viejo, who shut out Kamehameha in the first half, but eventually yielded points on the board when Nui Kaapana found the end zone for a receiving TD from Ezra Forges midway throught the third.
Points also were contributed via the defense, with Ryder Brown adding to the final total for Mission Viejo with a pick-six returned 55 yards in the fourth.
Kamehemeha will face another mainland opponent next week, when it travels to Warren High School (Downey, CA) on Aug 23.
