Kapolei senior Faith Hines scored twice in the first half to lift the Hurricanes over Kalaheo, 2-0, Monday afternoon at Waipahu's Masa Yonamine Athletic Complex in the opening round of the OIA Division I playoffs.

Hines, who signed a letter of intent to play collegiately for Utah State University, found the back of the net in the 13th and 17th minute and currently sits at 14 goals scored this season.

The Hurricanes improves to 6-2-3 in OIA play with the win, their fifth in six contests. They advance to play at reigning league champion Mililani Tuesday night in the second quarterfinal at John Kauinana Stadium. The two teams played to a scoreless draw in both team's regular season finale.

The Mustangs' season is over with a 7-4 record.
