Hawaii upsets Air Force for second straight win

Brayden Shager threw two touchdown passes to Pofele Ashlock to lead Hawaii to a 27-13 win over Air Force in a Mountain West Conference football game the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletic Complex Saturday night. 

The Rainbow Warriors improved to 4-7 overall and 2-4 in the MWC, while the Falcons dropped to 8-2 and 5-1. 

Shager completed 22 of his 29 pass attempts and was not intercepted. He threw for 176 yards and found Ashlock for TD passes of 5 and 19 yards in the win. Ashlock finished with 12 receptions for 67 yards and Shager also ran in a 1-yard TD just before halftime. 

Meki Pei's 32-yard scoop and score gave the Warriors a 27-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. 

Air Force's lone touchdown came on a 35-yard touchdown run by Dylan Carson early in the third quarter. Matthew Dapore converted field goals of 25 and 21 yards in the loss. 

Hawaii will visit Wyoming Saturday before it hosts Colorado State on Nov. 25 to wrap up its season.
