Trey Dacoscos passed for 289 yards and four touchdowns and Pearl City finished off an unblemished regular season with a 26-21 win over Kalani at Edwin "Bino" Neves Stadium Friday night.

The Chargers (8-0 overall, 7-0 league) had already locked up the top seed in the upcoming Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II tournament. The loss knocked the Falcons (3-4, 2-4) out of playoff contention.

Pearl City trailed 7-0 early before it reeled off 20 consecutive points on Dacoscos TD passes of 17, 29 and 21 yards to Keaton Tomas, Lennon Elder and Derek Kusano, respectively.

Kalani inched closer with Kynan McCartney's 11-yard touchdown pass to Kai Kobayashi early in the fourth quarter. Jordan Amalato tied the score at 20 with his 73-yard TD run and Duke Corso put the Falcons ahead with his extra point.

The Chargers recaptured the lead when Dacoscos and Elder hooked up for a 9-yard TD pass to close out the scoring.

Kalani posted 439 yards of total offense, including 288 rushing. Amalato racked up 173 rushing yards on 22 carries and Sonny Iaea carried 16 times for 97 yards. Iaea gave the Falcons an early lead with his 1-yard TD run in the first quarter.

Pearl City finished with 379 total yards.

Dacoscos completed 26 of his 41 pass attempts and was not intercepted. Torres tallied six receptions for 93 yards, Elder grabbed six catches for 70 yards and Kusano chipped in with four grabs for 51 yards.

The Chargers will have a bye before hosting an OIA D2 semifinal game in two weeks.

Kalani will conclude its season against Kalaheo Friday at Kaiser Stadium.
