Nanakuli earn its first victory of the season with a 48-30 non-league win over Roosevelt Saturday afternoon at Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium.

Kanoa Torres threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns in the win as the Golden Hawks improved to 1-2 on the season.

Richard Federico was on the receiving end of two of Torres' TD passes and Christian Asinsin rumbled for 74 yards and two scores on the ground to help Nanakuli stay balanced offensively.

The Golden Hawks also added a defensive score on Atapana Aumua Keaweehu-Kaehuaea's fumble recovery.

Nainoa Aguiar returned the opening kickoff 81 yards to the end zone to give Roosevelt (2-2) the early lead.

Ioane Kamanao threw three TD passes to lead the Rough Riders in the loss.
