In what has been a wild, wild ILH Division I regular season, Saint Louis is back on top of the ILH Division standings, at least for now.

Jacob Villacorte threw a six inning gem, allowing just one run on four hits, striking out ten and walking just two, and the Crusaders' bats provided the cushion on scoreboard, with runs plated in the third through sixth innings, en route to a  key 7-2 win over Kamehameha.

The victory improved the Crusaders' record to 9-3-1 with one game left in the regular season, a half game ahead of the second-place Warriors, who dropped to 9-4.

Matt Pavao stole home with two outs to open up the scoring in the third,and Chyler De Silva added a two RBI single in the fourth to extend the margin to 3-0.

In the fifth, Villacorte helped his own cause with a two-run single of his own to make it 5-0, and Kolby Gushiken brought in a run on a single then came around to score a batter later to account for the seven Crusaders' runs.

Kamehameha got one run back in the sixth, when Ayden Lobetos scored from third on a passed ball, then got a pinch hit triple from Nainoa Dela Cruz with two outs in the seventh to keep the inning alive.

Ayden Lobetos was able to draw a walk to get two runners aboard, and a balk by Gushiken, who came on in relief of Villacorte, allowed Dela Cruz to come home and moved Lobetos up to second.

A wild pitch moved Lobetos over to third, before Gushiken was able to induce a game ending ground out two pitches later.

Saint Louis concludes the regular season Saturday with a game against Damien (1-11), while Kamehameha takes on Punahou (8-5).
