With the win the Bulldogs extended their lead in the division to two full games over second place Hawaii Baptist, with the Monarchs dropping to third at 5-3 tied with Maryknoll.
The Bulldogs defeated the Monarchs for the second time in league play, and with it the season sweep between the two squads. The first win came in both teams' season opener at Le Jardin, where the home team prevailed, 25-23, 16-25, 29-27 and 25-19.
