Home sweet home.
After losing its season-opener to Maui on the road, Nanakuli returned home to put up a 54-13 win over Waialua Saturday night to begin OIA Division II play.
The Golden Hawks held the Bulldogs to just 96 yards of offense while gaining 386 behind Hansen Salusa-Kaawa's 213 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Christian Asinsin provided the ground game for Nanakuli with 16 rushes for 95 yards and a 28-yard TD.
Tyson Apau rushed for a score and James Zara caught a 20-yard TD pass from Jack Amancio to lead the Bulldogs in the loss.
