Pearl City started OIA Division II play with a 57-34 win over Kaimuki Saturday night at Skippa Diaz Stadium.

The Chargers (2-1 overall, 1-0 league) jumped out to a 24-0 lead before the Bulldogs (0-2, 0-1) turned it into a shootout.

Trey Dacoscos passed for four touchdowns and added another two more on the ground to power Pearl City in the win.

The Chargers were actually outgained in the contest as the Bulldogs put up 621 yards of total offense to Pearl City's 354.

Iosefa Letuli passed for 300 yards and two TDs and Ofa Vehikite ran for 240 yards and two scords to lead Kaimuki in the loss.
