In a press release sent out by Oahu Interscholastic Association executive director Raymond Fujino, the league announced new guidance for spectators effective Jan. 3.
Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the league will not allow specators at OIA events until further notice.
Refunds will be processed for tickets purchased.
The release also noted that mask wearing is required for all participating in athletic events, with the exception of paddling, swimming and diving and wrestling. However, participants in those sports must wear masks when not active competing in those sports.
