Kelia Giusta put down a match-high 10 kills to power Moanalua over visiting Kaiser in the opening round of the New City Nissan Division I Girls Volleyball Championships Monday night.

Set scores were 25-14, 24-11, 25-18.

Na Menehune, the Oahu Interscholastic Association runner-up, moves on to face fourth-seeded Kamehameha-Hawaii Thursday in a 5 p.m. quarterfinal on their home floor.

Moanalua totaled 14 total blocks in its win over the Cougars, the third time the two teams met this season.

Luna Ann Brown and Shereya Ufuti each had five kills to lead Kaiser in the loss.
