Clayton Quidashay rushed for 79 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns and Koyo Kekauoha added 51 more yards and a score on the ground as Kailua notched its first win of the year with a 30-13 win over Castle.
Kekauoha opened up the scoring wiht a nine yard score, followed up less than two minutes later by a defensive score, a Knights' pass attempt was taken back 30 yards the other way for a score iwith 5:10 left in the first quarter by Keoni Williams.
Castle got on the board via a four yard pass from Daunte Ching to Coby Tanioka to trim the margin to 13-7, but the home team tacked on a field goal from 34 yards out by Theodor Bierbrauer in the late stages of the half to make the count 16-7.
The Knights made it a 16-13 game when Ching found Tanioka for the second time in the contest from 26 yards away to get within three points, but Quidashay's scoring runs from six and two put the game out of reach.
While the run game put up the the majority of the points, quarterback Romeo Ortiz and the passing game helped to balance out the Kailua attack to the tune of 306 total yards. Ortiz finished 12 of 20 for 139 yards and no interceptions.
Tanioka led all pass catchers with seven grabs for 135 yards, but six turnovers for Castle, including three interceptions and three lost fumbles, proved costly.
The Surfriders' front line loomed large in the contest, registering eight sacks in the game, led by Blazen Lono Wong, who had three.
