Hawaiian Mission Academy hung on to defeat Assets School, 38-36 in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division III contest at McKeague Hall Thursday.

Make Brede led the Knights (4-2) with 11 points and two 3-pointers, Jared Moran added 10 points, and Micah Castillo rounded the scorers with eight.

Ian Canute led all scorers with 17 points and was 8 for 12 from the free throw line to lead the Admirals (2-2) in the loss.

The Knights, despite playing on their home floor were the designated visiting team, held a 21-14 lead at halftime. The Admirals battled back and outscored Hawaiian Mission, 22 to 17 in the second half.

Hawaiian Mission hosts Lanakila Baptist on Saturday while Assets takes on Island Pacific Academy at Hanalani on the same night.

The Knights and Admirals meet again in Makiki on Jan. 30.
