Tia Lurbiecki was the hero for Makua Lani Wednesday afternoon.
The junior midfielder scored from seven yards out to lift the Lions over Waianae, 1-0, in overtime at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.
Lurbiecki's golden goal sends Makua Lani to the quarterfinals of the Queen's Medical Center/HHSAA Division II Girls Soccer Championships, where it will face second-seeded Kauai on Thursday.
