Sacred Hearts eliminated the top-seeded team in the tournament with a four-set win over the Owls in the quarterfinals of the New City Nissan Division II Girls Volleyball State Championships at Saint Francis' gymnasium Thursday night.

Kayla Murray and Ramsaye Wakinekona each had 11 kills to lead the Lancers (11-4) into Friday's semifinals, where they will face Waimea in the second match at Saint Francis.

Kaehu Keala put down a match-high 14 kills to lead Mid-Pacific (13-3), who saw its 10-match win streak snapped.
