Iolani made quick work of visiting Kapolei in the opening round of the New City Nissan Division I State Championships at Father Kenneth A. Bray Athletic Complex Monday night. Set scores were 25-19, 25-16, 25-15.

Elena Oglivie had a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs and Izzy Sakoda added 10 kills to power the Raiders into Thursday's quarterfinal round against third-seeded King Kekaulike. The Raiders (10-5) will play Na Alii (14-0) in the second match at Moanalua's gym.

Three other players chipped in four kills, including Sasha Petticord, who had a hand in six of Iolani's nine total blocks.

Toodie Sopi had 12 kills to lead the Hurricanes (10-4) in their season-ending loss.
