Twelve student-athletes from all five statewide leagues were honored at the annual Enterprise Rent-A-Car/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Hall of Honor awards dinner Sunday night at the Pomaikai Ballrooms.

The group — made up of nine girls and three boys — was chosen from amongst a group of 63 applicants by a 16-person selection committee made up of current and former sports reporters, coaches and athletics directors. Each individual will receive a $2,000 scholarship courtesy of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

  » Ryan Wilcox, Punahou (volleyball)
  » Veronica Winham, Seabury Hall (cross country, track and field)

The keynote speaker was Kevin Wong, a former professional volleyball player and beach volleyball analyst for NBC Sports at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics Games. Wong, a Punahou School '90 graduate, was inducted into the Hall of Honor in 1990.

It is the 36th consecutive year the Hall of Honor has recognized the top 12 senior student-athletes in the state. A complete list of inductees, dating back to the inaugural class of 1983, can be found here.
