Visiting Kapolei made it look easy Thursday afternoon.

The Hurricanes scored 13 runs on 12 hits and benefitted from six Kaiser errors as Kapolei blasted the Cougars, 13-2, in the quarterfinals of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I playoffs.

Kapolei, who also clinched a state berth in the process, advances to play Campbell Friday night in the second semifinal at McKinley's Tiger Softball Stadium.

Ciena Kauhi and Tatum Guzman each scored three times and Chasity McKean drove in four runs to lead the Hurricanes at the plate.

Winning pitcher Cira Bartolotti pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts in the victory.

Tehani Keola-Aquino had a double and two RBIs to lead the Cougars in the loss.
