Leilehua left no doubt in its mercy-rule win over host Mililani Tuesday afternoon.

The Mules (9-3) racked up 12 hits and scored in every inning as it avenged their first loss of the season with a 11-0 five-inning win over the Trojans to close the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I West regular season.

The victory helped Leilehua clinch a first round bye and the West's No. 2 seed in the league's D1 playoffs, which starts next Wednesday.

Senior pitcher Kamryn Kamakaiwi threw five strikeouts, walked one and allowed just two hits to pick up the win in the circle.

She also helped her case with a two-run homer in the top of the second and a double in the fifth inning.

Brandi Leong, Mikayla Pinera and Alyssa Asuncion also totaled multiple hits in the win. Gianna Araki and Kayla Hale scored twice to lead Leilehua's base runners.

Joie Baker was the game's losing pitcher. She was pulled after facing six batters in the top of the first. Cheyenne Ardona pitched the remainder of the game for the Trojans (5-6).

Kayla Bello led Mililani at the plate, drawing a walk and recording the team's first hit.

The Trojans will close out the regular season on Thursday when they host Pearl City (6-5), who won the first meeting between the two teams. A Mililani win will give the Trojans the West's fourth seed because they would have the quality wins tiebreaker.

Seeding tiebreakers
Campbell and the Mules both finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, but the Sabers own the quality wins tiebreaker over Leilehua. The difference is Campbell has two wins over Mililani (5-6) and one win over Waianae (4-8), while the Mules have two wins over the Seariders (4-8) and one win over the Trojans (5-6).

Kapolei is locked in as the third seed at 8-4 while Waianae will be the sixth seed.

Pearl City will clinch the fourth seed with a win over Mililani on Thursday, but will drop to fifth with a loss. The Trojans own a win over Leilehua (9-3), while the Chargers lost both games to the Mules.
