Visiting Kalani picked up an important win with a 41-39 win over Roosevelt Saturday night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division contest.

The victory moved the Falcons (6-2 OIA East) into first place in the OIA Division II-East standings. The top D2 team from each conference receives a first round bye in the league's D2 six-team playoffs.

Roosevelt, who is also in D2, dropped to 5-4.

Kapaa Nishimura scored 14 points and Max Pepe added 12 more with a couple assists to lead the Falcons in the win.

Micah Visoria led the Rough Riders in the loss with nine points.
