KALIHI — Kaimuki powered 320 yards on the ground, posting nearly 500 yards of total offense to muzzle the Kalaheo Mustangs, 49-7, to close out the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II regular season Friday night at Edward 'Skippa' Diaz Stadium at Kusunoki Field on the campus of Farrington High School.

Senior running back Ieke Seei-Cleveland rushed for his fifth 100-plus yards game on 15 carries for 131 yards and three touchdowns. His performance also pushes him over the 1,000-yard mark for the season.

Fellow backfield mate Jordan Solomon balanced an 118-yard ground game with an efficient 12-for-18 167-yard passing attack. The junior quarterback ran for a 32-yard score less than a minute into the game, and threw two scoring darts both to sophomore slot Kaulana Kaluna, Jr.

The win improves the ScoringLive/Hawaiian Electric Division II Football Power Rankings eighth-ranked Bulldogs' record to 5-2, 5-3 overall, and snaps a two-game losing streak courtesy of division leaders Waipahu and Pearl City.

Kaimuki will have the third seed in the four-team OIA D2 Playoffs later this month and will take on second-seeded Pearl City for a rematch after a 17-15 loss on Sept. 16 came down to the final play on a blocked field goal attempt.

Kalaheo's season ends at 2-5, 2-6 overall. The Mustangs had an opportunity to make a late push for the postseason but needed wins over both Kalani last week and Kaimuki Friday night.

The Mustangs lost to Kalani, 41-13, to give Roosevelt the fourth and final seed for the OIA D2 Playoffs.
