FINAL  1   2   3   4   5
ANUE (1-10) 18 25 11 - - 1
KAIM (2-9) 25 19 15 - - 2

The Kaimuki Bulldogs' playoff hopes were gone before the contest, but their spirits were up once all was said and done Tuesday night.

Kaimuki snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 25-18, 19-25, 15-11 win over visiting Anuenue in both team's Oahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division regular season finale.

The Bulldogs, one of five Division II teams in the East, had no shot at locking up one of three berths into the league's six-team D2 tournament, but they did play spoiler to Na Koa's postseason bid.

Anuenue (1-10) would have clinched the final berth with a win over the Bulldogs because it would own head-to-head tiebreakers over Kaimuki and Kaiser (2-9).

Chasry Lum-King put down a match-high 12 kills to lead the Bulldogs in the win.

Kanani Jones led Na Koa in the loss with seven kills.
