Kapolei and Campbell are moving on in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I playoffs.
The Hurricanes (6-2-3), the OIA West's fifth-seeded team, 2-1, in the first match at the Sabers' field while Campbell blew by Kalani, 4-0, in the night cap Monday.
Cait Perry's goal in the 76th minute helped Kapolei break a 1-1 tie against the Cougars, who were the OIA East's fourth seed. Kaiser's Kaile Halvorsen scored the first goal of the contest in the 50th minute, but Alyssa Yoshida tied the game at 1 just moments later.
With the win Kapolei moves on to take on Mililani (8-0-2), the OIA West regular season champion, in the quarterfinal round at John Kauinana Stadium Tuesday night. The Trojans defeated the Hurricanes in the regular season, 4-2.
Kaiser's season is over with a 6-2-3 record.
In the second first round contest at Ewa Beach, the third-seeded Sabers (7-1-3) were firmly in control, scoring all of their goals in the first half. Hokulei Ishikawa scored in the 12th minute, Chardonnay Curran in the 15th minute, Cheyenne Smith in the 22nd minute and Ceydrianne Whitfield capped the scoring with a goal from 30 yards out in the 29th minute.
Campbell will take on Castle (8-1-1), the OIA East second-seeded team, in a 5:30 p.m. quarterfinal at John Kauinana Stadium that will precede the Kapolei and Mililani rematch.
Kalani, who was the OIA East's sixth seed, saw it's season come to a close with a 4-6-1 record.
In the other first round matches at Kahuku's Carleton E. Weimer Field, Aiea (7-1-3) defeated Roosevelt (5-6-0) in overtime, 2-1, while the Red Raiders (8-2-1) outlasted Waialua (3-6-2) in penalty kicks.
Both teams will play their quarterfinal contests at Pearl City's Bino Neves Stadium. Aiea takes on the OIA East's top-seeded team, Moanalua (9-0-1), at 5:30 p.m. Kahuku will take on the host Chargers (7-2-1) following the match between Moanalua and Na Alii.
