Le Jardin swept Maui Interscholastic League Division II champ Hana in the quarterfinal round of the New City Nissan/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II Girls Volleyball Championships Thursday night.
Julia Fisher put down a match-high 15 kills and senior Nina Krupa flirted with a quadruple-double to power the Bulldogs to a 25-15, 25-5, 25-16 win at Saint Francis' Gymnasium.
Le Jardin (12-3), the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II runner-up, will face Damien, the ILH's third-place team, in a 5 p.m. semifinal game at Kaimuki on Friday. The Monarchs (11-3) handed the Bulldogs' their first loss of the season, but Le Jardin was able to get revenge in a straight set victory on Oct. 15.
Krupa, who split time at setter and the opposite, finished with 23 assists, eight aces, seven kills and seven digs in a dominant all-around performance. The Bulldogs were able to close out game two on a 12-0 run with Krupa at the service line.
Natalie Piper and Kassidy Naone each had six kills while Kaimionalani Cobb-Adams chipped in five more to round out the Bulldogs' attack.
Jaylin Victorine-Dyment had three kills and two aces to lead the Dragons in the loss.
