Warriors junior quarterback Boogie Yam passed for two touchdowns as No. 7 Kamehameha beat No. 8 Iolani, 21-16, Friday night at HTFCU Field at Aloha Stadium.

The Warriors improved to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I standings, while the Raiders fell to 3-5 and 0-5.

The Raiders led 10-7 at the half on Evan Minami's 25-yard field goal and Tai-John Mizutani's 7-yard touchdown pass to Justin Genovia.

Yam threw touchdown passes of 27 yards to Chris Ah Mook Sang in the first quarter, and a 20-yarder to Jaykob Cabunoc in the fourth quarter. Running back Kanoa Shannon's 35-yard touchdown run in the third quarter gave Kamehameha a 14-10 lead that it would not relinquish.

Iolani scored with four seconds left in the game on a 24-yard pass from Mizutani to Genovia. The ensuing 2-point conversion failed.

Yam was 17-of-24 for 204 yards, while Shannon led the Warriors in rushing with 86 yards on 19 carries.

Mizutani was 19-of-34 for 254 yards, but was intercepted once by Kalamaku Kuewa. Mizutani was sacked 10 times, four by Andrew Aleki and twice by Nakoa Pauole.

The Warriors close out the regular season against Saint Louis on Friday at Aloha Stadium. The Raiders finish by hosting Punahou on Friday.
